Assign Event Logs
The Logs Tab, found within various Event Log monitor templates, enables you to select the target logs to act on. This view uses WMI to populate the Event Log and Microsoft Application Log lists.
To assign logs to the template:
- The Select a host drop-down includes a drop-down button and a add button.
- Use the Drop-Down
button to select an already existing host.
- Use the Add
button to add a new host to the system.
-
Once a host is selected, the list views are populated with the available logs.
If WMI is not available, use the Log text box to manually add logs to the list. - Use the Event Logs tab and Microsoft Application Logs tab to select the type of logs.
- Use the Log text box to manually add logs when targeting Agent-Based devices.
- Check each log you would like to monitor.
-
Use the Ignore log not found errors to suppress log not found errors on hosts that do not have the referenced logs.
