Assign Disks
Use the Logical Disks tab found within various disk monitor templates to select the target Windows logical disks to act on.
- Use the Disk select method to either discover all logical local and RAM disks or explicitly assign each disk you would like to monitor.
- Use the Disk Exclusions drop-down to exclude specific disks from the monitors.
Discover and monitor all disks
-
Use the Disk exclusions list to exclude specific disks from the template (e.g. e:).
To ignore a disk on a specific host, use the following format: \\HostNameToExclude\e:
Explicitly assign and configure each disk
- The Select a host drop-down includes a drop-down button and an add button.
- Use the Drop-Down
button to select an already existing host.
- Use the Add
button to add a new host to the system.
- Once a host is selected, the tree view is populated with the list of disks.
- Check each disk you would like to monitor.
- Use the Ignore disk not found errors to suppress disk not found errors on hosts that do not have the assigned disks.
