CornerBowl Software (“CBS” or the “Company”) today announced a leadership and ownership transition aligned with its continued focus on operational stability, governance, and long-term value creation.
Vic Cizmarik has acquired CBS and assumed the leadership role previously held by founder Michael Janulaitis, who passed away in 2025. The transaction, completed in October 2025, ensures continuity of ownership, strategy, and customer commitments.
Preserving the Foundation
Founded by Michael Janulaitis, CBS was built to address the need for practical, scalable security monitoring across hybrid enterprise environments. Under his leadership, the Company developed a software-first platform centered on operational visibility, predictable subscription economics, and disciplined execution across Windows, Linux, and cloud infrastructures.
Following Michael’s passing, Vic Cizmarik’s acquisition ensured an orderly transition, preserving the Company’s mission, customers, and technology while establishing a unified path forward.
Operational Continuity and Leadership Alignment
Since the transition, CBS has operated without disruption to customer contracts, service levels, or strategic direction. The Company remains focused on enterprise-grade reliability, security, and operational rigor.
In parallel, Jake Skelton has led the expansion and alignment of CBS’s technical and operational leadership team. The team brings experience in enterprise software platforms supporting network hardware, operating systems, identity services, and cloud infrastructure — including availability monitoring, performance management, compliance reporting, and administration of Azure Active Directory and hybrid identity environments.
The Next Phase: Software-Led Security at Scale
CBS continues to advance its long-term strategy to evolve into a software-led Security as a Service platform emphasizing automation, multi-tenant scalability, and standardized operations.
The platform is designed to function as a software-based operational security engineer — continuously monitoring environments, normalizing telemetry, and delivering actionable insights to support executive decision-making while maintaining predictable cost structures.
