IMAP Monitor Template
The IMAP Monitor Template enables you to monitor IMAP email servers for availability. This template is typically used by email server administrators to verify availability of the email server.
This template uses the IMAP protocol to monitor the email server. For more information see: RFC 9051
How to configure the IMAP Monitor Template:
- From the Menu Bar, select File | New. The Create New Object View displays.
- From the Create New Object View, expand Templates | Email Monitors then select IMAP Monitor. The New Template Properties View displays.
- The Template Properties view contains 3 tabs.
The Options Tab

Use the Server drop-down to select the server you would like to monitor (e.g. mail.yourdomain.com).
Once selected, the server is automatically assigned to this template. - Use the Secure Socket Layer check box to enable SSL.
- Use the Validate certificate chain to validate the SSL Certificate's intermediate and root certificate chain.

Use the Port text box to specify the port.
Port Description 143 Default 993 SSL - Use the Username text box to specify the username to login as.
- Use the Password text box to specify the username's password.
- Click the Test button to verify the template is configured property and the monitor executes as expected.

Finally, select the General Tab, then click the click the
Auto-Generate Name
button to auto-generate a name based on the configured settings.
